The Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas proudly inducted alumnus Jack Gibbons, MBA ’05, into its Hall of Fame during a ceremony recently held on campus. Gibbons, the Chief Executive Officer of FB Society, was recognized for his outstanding leadership, entrepreneurial vision and lasting contributions to the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Reflecting on the milestone, Gibbons shared, “When I chose to pursue my MBA at the University of Dallas, I was ready to grow beyond my role and learn from leaders who would challenge and inspire me. I even made a deal with my wife to give up Monday Night Football to invest in myself.”

He continued, “Earning my MBA at UD in 2005 was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The program gave me new perspective and the tools to think creatively about business. The professors, the discussions, and the push to think independently continue to shape the way I lead today.”

The event brought Gibbons’s family, friends and colleagues together to celebrate his achievements and contributions. He expressed his gratitude to Dean J. Lee Whittington, one of his professors during his MBA studies, University President Jonathan J. Sanford and the wider UDallas community for this honor. He also thanked Fehmi Karahan and fellow alumnus and friend Dan Flaherty, BA ’81 MBA ’82 for their kind introductions and continued friendship.

Dean J. Lee Whittington shared, “We were pleased to honor Jack Gibbons as our newest inductee into the Gupta College of Business Hall of Fame. Jack exemplifies the quality of leaders we strive to cultivate here at the University of Dallas: leaders who understand that leadership is an action, not a position, and that people matter more than processes. We are proud to have Jack representing us and modeling the way for other leaders!”

As CEO of FB Society, Gibbons oversees a portfolio of innovative restaurant brands and continues to embody the Gupta College of Business’s mission to develop principled and visionary leaders.
